Preparing for an Appointment

These instructions and guidelines are important to follow when preparing for your brow appointment

Who is NOT a candidate for Microblading and Semi-Permanent Cosmetic services?

-Pregnant or Nursing

-Diabetic

-Viral infections and/or diseases

-Epilepsy

-A Pacemaker or major heart problems

-Had an organ transplant

-Tendency towards keloids or scarring

-Seborrheic dermatitis

-Skin irritations or Psoriasis near area to be treated (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc)

-Sick (cold, flu, etc)

-Had botox in the past 2 months

-Used Accutane in the past year

-Allergic to anesthetic (Lidocaine)

-Extremely Oily or Problematic Skin

-Use blood thinners

-Any condition that compromises the immune system/healing

-Chemotherapy (consult doctor)

*Diagnosed conditions that are waived are required to bring a doctor’s note stating their approval.

*If you have ever had previous brow work done with another artist, please let me know! I will need to see current photos of your brows to assess the current pigment saturation and to make sure you are a good candidate for additional brow work.

 

Please Note:  I strongly advise prospective new clients to book their Microblading appointments at least 3-4 months in advance of vacations, weddings, and special occasions.  This allows adequate time for healing of both your initial microblading appointment as well as the touch-up enhancement session.  To have perfect brows is a multi-step process, and some clients need more than 2 sessions to achieve their desired density and shape. 

 

Brow Service Pre-Care

Brow service pre-care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the procedure, as excessive bleeding will dilute the pigment color and lead to poor results.

-Do not work out 48 hours before procedure

-NO alcohol or caffeine 48 hours before procedure

-Avoid sun and tanning your face two weeks prior to procedure

-Do not take aspirin, Advil/ibuprofen, Niacin, or Vitamin E for 48 hours prior

-Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal vitamins, nutritional shakes, and Hair/Skin/Nail supplements 2 weeks prior to procedure

-Discontinue Retin-A, Chemical and Laser Peels, Microdermabrasions, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), Vitamin C or brightening serums, and any chemical exfoliant products for 6 weeks prior

-Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 2 months prior for those who do not regularly receive injectables

-Avoid brow tinting, waxing or threading for one week

-Avoid ingesting ginger, cinnamon, garlic, turmeric, black and cayenne pepper 24 hours prior to procedure

Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual period
